Outpost Natural Foods Cooperative

I truly love that Wauwatosa has a healthy alternative such as the Outpost. I see so many advantages to their effort: buying & supporting local organic farms, fair-trade policies, and a co-op that educates members about going green and health advantages to an organic lifestyle. I also agree that they have great customer service and programs geared even toward little ones, like their kid's club. My son loves to go into Outpost, walk up to the front desk with his Kid's Club badge on and pick out his favorite fruit leather. This definitely sets them apart. I recommend them - they are a welcome addition to Wauwatosa!

I'm here at least every other day. The staff are friends, they really bring the feel of a neighborhood and community to their jobs. They love what they do and it shows. The smoothie bar is awesome and the quick meals to go make for an easy meal. Try their fish fry on Fridays, it's excellent!

They take the work out of trying to put your money towards healthful, environmentally sensitive, fair-trade foods. I simply don't have time to do that kind of research. The outpost buys locally (unlike Trader Joe's or Natural Foods which are chains). The outpost aims to buy organic foods, which help both you and the planet, and fair-trade, which you can consider a donation toward a good cause. You will spend more money at this store than a place like Wal-Mart, but you will be investing in a brighter future for yourself, your children, and the planet.

The Outpost Natural Food Co-op is Milwaukee is second to none! Not only is there a plethora of very fresh, organic meats and produce, but everyone is super friendly. We have children, and they are welcomed and treated wonderfully by all the staff.
Everyone is extremely informative and knowledgable about their products. They are able to offer tips on use or preparation when asked.
The prices are very comparable and are, in fact, generally less expensive than the grocery stores organic sections.
The variety is excellent, with many choices in all departments.
The aroma that greets you when you walk in is outstanding. There always seems to be fresh bread baking or yummy treats permeating the air.
I would not hesitate to recommend this food co-op to others.

Outpost has a sea of options when it comes to healthy eating and living. I could spend literally hours reading package lables and checking out all of the specialty items you would not find at your average grocery store. Becareful, before you know it you may find yourself with $100 worth of items in your basket, as eating and living naturally comes at a price. While you are there check out the deli options, absolutly delectible choices to please any pallet.

Outpost has the best produce you can find in Milwaukee. You have never tasted fruit like this. Unfortunately it all comes at a steep price. I have noticed the word organic seems to run about a dollar a pound. I would buy all my food here for the quality and piece of mind, but I simply can't afford it. The stores themselves are nicely designed and very clean, and the help is very freindly

This place carries a wide variety of natural food items and supplements that you can't find other places. I shop there at least once a week and have always benn pleased. The store is clean, well-organized, and staffed by knowledgeable people. The prices as you would guess are a bit more but you pay more for quality. If you don't like the parking lot, park across the street at the grocery store and walk.

this store offers many products that are not otherwise available in the area. the staff is knowledgable about their products and extremely helpful to find exactly what you are looking for.

If you cannot eat dairy, meat, have allergies or prefer to eat organic/natural, go to the Outpost. This store has an amazing selection of food at good prices. As I said above, they carry products that most places haven't even heard of, so if you're on a specific or difficult diet, this is the place for you. I'm a vegan and it took me forever to discover this place, but I'm glad I did.

The Outpost is a great place to shop. They have all organic products and even have a large selection of organic fed meats (for you animal eaters.) Outpost has a great staff and a great selection of self serve bulk foods, like granola, varieties of nuts, etc. Check it out, the prices are usually pretty good and the atmosphere is generally laid back.
